Clinical Genetics, Neurofibromatosis type 1.
• Clinical expertise in evaluation of families with suspected genetic condition, pre-test and post-test counselling, regular monitoring and management including prenatal diagnostics and counselling.
• Consultant in charge for Neurofibromatosis Multispeciality Clinic which was established in July 2023 at the Centre for Human Genetics and actively involved in the care and monitoring of individuals with NF1.

• NF1 is a genetic condition with overall increase in lifetime malignancy risk of about 60% with 4-5 fold increase in the risk of breast cancer in females with NF1 compared to the general population.
• This clinic aims at early clinical diagnosis, genetic confirmation, creating database to estimate the incidence of this autosomal dominant condition in Indian population, having genotype-phenotype correlation, long-term monitoring of affected individuals, educating the families, early identification of malignancies, appropriate multidisciplinary care.
